FEI Tecnai G2 20 S-TWIN Transmission Electron Microscope

This item is sold on behalf of a client where it is surplus to requirements.

The microscope is fully functional and has been maintained under a Thermo Fisher service contract, with the most recent service completed in July 2025. It is currently fitted with a Tungsten filament but is also compatible with LaB6.

The system comprises the following:

• Tecnai G2 20 S-TWIN microscope column
• Megaview Soft Imaging System III camera
• One standard quick release specimen holder
• HT tank
• Turbo, rotary, and oil diffusion pumps
• Auxiliary equipment required for operation (with flexibility on chillers and compressor inclusion by discussion)

Additional details

• Configured with enhancements for Lorentz microscopy, including a Lorentz lens upgrade for higher magnification imaging in low magnetic field conditions.
• Reversible polarity objective lens for in situ magnetising experiments.
• The standard objective lens is retained, allowing for full routine TEM functionality.
• A Gatan image filter is present but non-functional; the port blank is available and can be supplied in place of the filter.
